First Aid Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen and Coaches Certification training are required and can be obtained through the district.

Special requirements:
The person employed for this position must be able to verify identity and employment authorization. The candidate selected for this position must complete a pre-employment record check and be approved by the Oregon Department of Education after having a Fingerprint-Based Criminal History Verification completed. The outdoor athletic facility will be an all-synthetic turf including two baseball fields, two softball fields, and a stadium field. In addition, there will be 8 outdoor tennis courts. Riverdale LAX Club is seeking a Head Lacrosse Coach for two recreational 5th/6th grade boys teams from March 14 through June 10. The teams compete in the Oregon Youth Lacrosse Association in the Portland, OR area. Practices and home games are held at Riverdale Grade School sports field. It is anticipated that the team(s) will practice twice a week and games are typically on Saturday with an occasional game mid-week.

Duties include, but are not limited to, on-field coaching and training, guidance of parent volunteer coaches, as well as organization of practice and game strategies. A parent of a team member will handle administrative duties. Prior coaching experience at the youth level preferable, background check is required, and a commitment to knowing and complying with US Lacrosse, NFHS and OYLA rules is necessary.

Coach(s) should be able to provide direction to the parent volunteer coaches of the 1st/2nd grade boys and 3rd/4th grade boys teams. The goal is to help develop continuity in instruction for these developing players. In addition, this position will help develop a coaching plan for the Riverdale LAX Club program. • Ability to meet WIAA coaching requirements
• District training regarding concussion management or ability and willingness to attend training
• Other required district training or ability and willingness to attend training

Desired (qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position):

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree
• Previous Head coaching experience at the 3A, 4A or higher high school level
• Ability to keep accurate records and inventory

Head Varsity Girls' Soccer Coach

St. Mary's Academy, a Catholic high school for young women located in downtown Portland, OR and 6A members of the Three Rivers League has an opening for a Head Varsity Girls' Soccer Coach. Candidates should have prior successful coaching experience at the varsity or collegiate level working with young women, as well as a passion for student athletes and their success. They should be dynamic, possess effective communication skills, be proficient at teaching both fundamental skills along with game systems and be dedicated to the overall success of the school athletic program.
