OSAA State Championships Broadcast Request Form

Instructions
  1. This form is required for all radio and television stations, cable companies, and websites planning to broadcast games in any round of the OSAA playoffs.
  2. This form does not pertain to play-in games or league playoffs.
  3. Only one form is required for each season (fall, winter, spring) and applies toward all sports in a season.
  4. DO NOT complete additional forms for subsequent broadcasts. For your next broadcasts, e-mail confirming game, call letters/website, and frequency/channel/URL.
  5. When finished, click Submit. An e-mail will be sent to Steve Walker and to your e-mail address for confirmation.
  6. Authorized broadcasts will be listed at . Outlets that do not register in advance will not be allowed to broadcast.

Policies & Agreement

All broadcasters must agree to the following broadcast policies and verify the agreement. Scroll to view all of the policies.

OSAA Broadcast Policy

  1. All OSAA events must be referred to as the "OSAA / U.S. Bank / Les Schwab Tires (INSERT EVENT) State Championship(s)."
  2. Advertising for the following products is prohibited during any broadcast of an OSAA State Championship event: tobacco, alcoholic beverages, political parties, political candidates, adult entertainment, casinos, sports books, online gambling, and promotion of any product illegal for people under 18.
  3. Criticism of an official, coach, team, player, or school during the broadcast is prohibited.
  4. The OSAA and its member schools retain the right to refuse broadcasting privileges to any outlet or person.
  5. An OSAA member school in a rights agreement with a local media outlet may refuse broadcast privileges to another media outlet in the same market when hosting an OSAA playoff game. This policy does not pertain to contests at OSAA final sites and football semifinal games unless the member school is hosting the final site or football semifinal and its team is participating.

Outlets originating broadcasts will not pay a rights fee, but agree to air a schedule of spots for OSAA and its sponsors within each broadcast and provide proof of performance affidavits.

* The following schedule of spots must air within each broadcast an outlet originates:

  1. One 30-second OSAA Open Adjacency spot immediately prior to the open of the broadcast and one 30-second OSAA Close Adjacency spot immediately following the close of the broadcast.
  2. Three 30-second U.S. Bank spots (** one each during 1st half, halftime, 2nd half)
  3. Three 30-second Les Schwab Tires spots (** one each during 1st half, halftime, 2nd half)*
  4. Six LIVE Drop-Ins
** If baseball or softball, spread spots throughout the broadcast.

Outlets Carrying Feeds from the OSAA Radio Network (ORN)

Outlets carrying ORN feeds will not pay a rights fee, but agree to air a schedule of spots for OSAA and its sponsors within each broadcast and provide proof of performance affidavits.

  1. Identify the link as "Provided by the OSAA Radio Network, sponsored by Pacific Office Automation".
  2. Websites are prohibited from streaming any game broadcast by the OSAA Radio Network: football semifinals and finals, basketball quarterfinals through finals and softball and baseball finals.

Outlets must submit proof of performance affidavits for the required schedule of spots for each broadcast.
