Rankings Freeze and Play-In Dates Summary

3A Boys Basketball

20-team OSAA bracket

  1. Automatic Qualifiers – 17 teams automatically qualify for the OSAA's 20-team bracket based on regular season and/or district tournament play on or before Saturday, February 21. Each league determines how they will select their allotted playoff spots.

    Lewis & Clark - 3; Coastal Range - 3; PacWest - 3; Mountain Valley - 2; Far West - 2; Eastern Oregon - 2; Southern Oregon - 2

      Lewis & Clark - Westside Christian, Valley Catholic, Oregon Episcopal
      Coastal Range - Banks, Neah-Kah-Nie, Corbett
      PacWest - Blanchet Catholic, Salem Academy, Scio
      Mountain Valley - Creswell, Pleasant Hill
      Far West - Douglas, Siuslaw
      Eastern Oregon - Riverside, Burns
      Southern Oregon - Cascade Christian, St. Mary's

    1. Rankings Freeze Date – The rankings will freeze at the conclusion of all contests on Saturday, February 21.

    2. At-Large Qualifier – Three additional teams will qualify for the OSAA's 20-team bracket based on the OSAA rankings. Once the rankings are frozen, the next three highest ranked teams not already an automatic league qualifier will qualify as the At-Large teams.

        At-Large #1 - Elmira
        At-Large #2 - Santiam Christian
        At-Large #3 - Lakeview/Paisley

    3. Rankings – Once the 20 qualifying teams are determined, they will be placed on the OSAA bracket according to OSAA Executive Board Policy "State Championships – Rankings". --}}
